1936 Spencer Press Benjamin Franklin Vol. 3 Hardcover - Fair Condition - 311 pages - As Is - 8.25”h x 5.5”w x 1.5”d
Vintage 1936 copy of The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin from The World's Greatest Literature series, Vol. 3. This edition includes Poor Richard's Almanac and Other Papers and features a brown cloth hardcover with gilt/green spine decoration.
Condition is fair and best for reading, display, or as a vintage filler copy rather than for serious collecting. The book is structurally presentable, but it shows clear age and shelf wear: scuffing, discoloration/spotting, and abrasion on the boards, rubbing at the edges and corners, and fraying/chipping at the top and bottom of the spine. Interior pages show age toning and foxing/spots. There is also a white handwritten library-style/catalog marking on the lower spine (appears to read something like 723 F85), which does affect collector appeal. No dust jacket is shown.
Included is the exact book shown: The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, Vol. 3, published by The Spencer Press in 1936.
If you want an affordable vintage Benjamin Franklin volume with classic shelf presence, this is a solid pick. Message me if you'd like it.
