Laidlaw Brothers The Road to Health 1957 Hardcover Fair Vintage - As Is - 272 Pages - 8.5”h x 6”w x 1”d
Vintage 1957 school health textbook from Laidlaw Brothers, Inc., titled Health Trails... / The Road to Health. This is a mid-century children’s educational reader with classic pictorial cloth boards and illustrations/art direction by Milo Winter. Contributors visible include Edwina Jones, Bertine Maloney, Edna Morgan, and Paul E. Landis.
Condition is fair and priced accordingly. The hardcover shows noticeable rubbing and fraying along the spine edges, corners, and board edges. The spine title is still legible, but the cloth has scuffing and edge wear. Front and back covers still display nicely overall, with moderate surface wear and some small spots/marks. Inside, pages show age toning and light foxing/soiling visible in the photos. Binding appears intact from the images, with no loose pages visible. I can’t fully confirm completeness or whether there is writing/highlighting from photos alone.
Included: the book shown only; no dust jacket is present.
A nice old reader for vintage textbook collectors, school book displays, or mid-century children’s book fans. Feel free to message if you’d like a closer look at any page or cover detail.
