Comet The Popular Aluminum Coffee Pot Percolator - Fair Condition - Vintage - As Is - 8”h x 8”d x 5.5”w
Vintage Comet “The Popular” aluminum coffee pot/percolator made in the U.S.A. A nice mid-century piece that could work well for vintage kitchen decor, collection, or possibly careful use if you’re familiar with older stovetop coffee makers.
It appears to include the main pot, lid, and the internal perforated basket/stand assembly shown in the photos. Black handle is intact, and the lid still has its clear glass knob.
Condition is fair and it shows honest age and use. There are noticeable scratches, scuffs, oxidation/patina, and cosmetic discoloration on the exterior. Inside, there’s use wear, mineral staining/residue, and age-related discoloration. There is also dark residue/aging visible around the lid knob mount. I don’t see any major dents or cracks in the photos, but it is untested, so I’d recommend buying it as vintage used cookware or a display piece unless you plan to evaluate brewing performance yourself.
Great piece for a vintage coffee collection or retro kitchen setup. If this looks like the one you’ve been hunting for, feel free to message me.
